Project Overview:
Swedish American Facility Master Plan (FMP) began in July 2018. The FMP included the addition of a 4-story Women’s and Children’s Center that housed pediatric clinics, an auditorium & meeting center, birthing center, and NICU. Also included in the FMP were five new cath labs, renovation of the third floor pediatric unit, upgrade to support services, expansion of the emergency department, and renovation of the 4th floor (behavioral health), 5th floor and 8th floor (medical/surgery). Work was completed on Swedish American FMP in January 2021.
Project Description:
Electrical scope of work for the Swedish American FMP consisted of:
- New 4-story Women’s and Children’s Center
- Re-routed existing 15kV feed to the hospital
- New 15kV feed to the Women’s and Children’s Center
- New EM generator for the Women’s and Children’s Center
- Five new cath labs
- Remodeled third floor pediatrics area
- New loading dock
- New parking lot
- Two replacement chillers and associated equipment
- New required electrical systems such as critical, life safety, equipment, and elevator
- Added fire alarm system, data/phone system, security systems, infant protection system, lightning protection system, and nurse call system
